Nathaniel Barham, Co K, 5th Miss Infantry

Nathaniel Barham, my Great Great Grandfather – Fought in the Civil War, was wounded at the Battle of Franklin, TN , Nov., 30, 1864 (note found in bible of Nathaniel’s written by Matilda Brookshire, his Mother-in-law)

Nathaniel Barham born 1828 in Wake Co, NC and died April 16, 1894 in Neshoba Co., Mississippi

Was captured at Franklin Dec. 17, 1864, Rec’d from Nashville on February 15, 1865 and transferred to Camp Chase on March 8, 1865

He survived the War and is buried in Neshoba, County, Mississippi at Harmony Baptist Church cemetery. (I have a tombstone photo.)

He and his wife, Sarah J. Giles Brookshire, had 9 children.
