My name is Terry Bailey.

Two of my gggrandfathers served in Co. F of the 29th Mississippi Infantry Regiment. Hayman Morris Bailey was severly wounded at Resaca. Woodson Carroll Hallum survived the Battle of Franklin. By February of 1865 Hallum back home in Calhoun County [Big Creek], Mississipp[. Hayman M. Bailey died ten years after the war. Woodson Hallum lived until 1923. At the time of his death he was known as Uncle Wood Hallum. Wood had taken the Bailey family into his care. Both are buried in the Old Tabernacle Cemetery near the Campground community of Calhoun County.
