i’m a descendant on my mother’s side of pvt. andrew jackson mclaney, 1st alabama infantry,co g, who died at the battle of franklin.

Editor: the 1st Alabama was a member of Quarles’ Brigade. The 1st lost 19 men at Franklin that are identified buried at McGavock. Mclaney is buried in an unknown plot at McGavock.

    Actually, your brave ancestor is buried in a marked grave, Alabama Section 72, Grave #64, McGavock Confederate Cemetery. (He was listed as J.A. McClaney)
