McDaniel Webb, Pvt, Co E, 7th TN Cav

My great-grandfather, James R. Webb, Pvt, Co E,  7th TN Cav, and his brother, McDaniel Webb, Pvt, Co E, 7th TN Cav, Ruckers Brigade, Chalmers Division.

According to Chalmers, Rucker’s Brigade was the extreme left of the Confederate line.

Any further information on the 7th TN Cav’s location/participation in the
battle would be appreciated.

Both brothers lived in Hardeman County, TN. Both survived the war and afterwards, James was the constable in Bolivar, TN in Hardeman County.

My GG Grandfather, Franklin Parker and his brother, Alexander Parker were from Hardeman County, TN and in the 7th/13th/14th Calvary. Both originally joined the 1st Mississippi Partisan Rangers. Franklin was injured with Rucker at the retreat in the Battle of Nashville. Alexander did not make it to Franklin because he was captured in 1863 when Hardeman County was in the Federal lines before he could join the troops in North Mississippi. Alexander died of Pnuemonia in the Federal Camp in Alton, Il in March 1864. Steve Parker shparker@bluebottle.com
